<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication terminal unit stored in a drip-proof box and capable of detecting the presence of a person by a reflection type sensor when a door of the drip-proof box is opened to check and process in check mode and shifting into a stand-by condition easily even after the door is closed upon completion of authentication. <P>SOLUTION: This personal authentication terminal unit 100 is provided with a pyroelectric type sensor 103 for detecting movement of an object, a reflection type distance measuring sensor 3 for detecting the object existent in a stationary condition within a predetermined scope, and a CPU 9 shifting from current mode into the check mode when the reflection type sensor 3 detects the object immediately after the pyroelectric type sensor 103 detects the movement of the object to check and process and completing the check mode when only the reflection type distance measuring sensor 3 detects the object after checking and processing came to an end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
