<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can be installed even at a place having no sufficient space above and can be made multifunctional by disposing an image reader above a body of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunction printer 1 includes: a plurality of photoconductor drums 41; a support frame 10 configured to support an arrangement of process cartridges 40 having the photoconductor drums 41 and allowed to be pulled out from a body case 2; a plurality of LED heads 31 mounted to the support frame 10, wherein each of the LED heads 31 is disposed opposite to the corresponding photoconductor drum 41 and is configured to form an electrostatic latent image thereon; a control board 7 disposed below and opposite the support frame 10 and configured to control each LED head 31; and cable 8 for electrically connecting each LED head 31 and the control board 7.
