PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spotlight whose uniformity is improved to make an illumination pattern edge clear. SOLUTION: The spot light 1 includes a light source 2, a reflecting mirror 3, and a converging lens (optical member) 7. The reflecting mirror 3 is a combination of three elliptic arcs whose cross sections parallel to the axis 32 of rotation of the mirror are elliptic arcs: elliptic arc 36 on the vertex side, elliptic arc 37 on the opening side, and basic elliptical arc 38 sandwiched between these elliptic arcs 36 and 37. The elliptic arc 36 on the vertex side forms a reflective surface of a third reflective portion 35; the elliptic arc 37 on the opening side forms a reflective surface of a second reflective portion 34; and the basic elliptical arc 38 forms a reflective surface of a first reflective portion 33. Light reflected by the first reflective portion 33 is concentrated to the vicinity of a second focus 41 of the first reflective portion 33; light reflected by the second reflective portion 34 is concentrated to the vicinity of a second focus 42 of the second reflective portion 34; light reflected by the third reflective portion 35 is concentrated to the vicinity of a second focus 43 of the third reflective portion 35.
