PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium which enables an information recording/reproducing device to highly accurately detect signals for tracking control and for recording timing control without reducing storage capacity of user data in an high density information recording medium. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium 1 includes first and second information cell groups 12 and 13 alternately disposed in the circumferential direction of the magnetic recording medium 1 in a user data region 10. Magnetic recording cells 11 included in the first and the second information recording cell groups 12 and 13 are formed in a plurality of tracks having track pitches equal to each other and disposed alternately with magnetic recording cells 11 formed in the adjacent track. A radial position in a radial direction of each track of the second information recording cell group 13 is different from that of the first information recording cell group 12.
