PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and notify abnormality without imposing a burden on a resident even when the abnormality fatal to the resident occurs while asleep. SOLUTION: An area on bedding is divided into a plurality of areas, and a pressure sensor 2 detecting weight and a temperature sensor 3 detecting temperature are provided in each the area. When the pressure sensor 2 detects weight of a first value or above, it is decided whether or not the temperature sensor 3 detects temperature of a second value or above in the area. When it is decided that the temperature sensor 3 does not detect the temperature of the second value or above, notification is performed. Thereby, it is decided that the resident is asleep by detecting the weight applied on the bedding, and it is decided whether body temperature of the resident is in an abnormal state or not by detecting the temperature of the area wherein the weight is detected, so that the notification can be performed without imposing the burden on the resident when the abnormality possibly fatal to the resident such that the body temperature of the resident falls while asleep occurs.
