SEALING MATERIAL FOR DOVETAIL GROOVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material for a dovetail groove excellent in installation characteristics, scarcely causing coming-off, prevented from being bited, sufficiently suppressing the torsion of a sealing material and the damage or coming-off of the sealing material and having an excellent sealing function. SOLUTION: The sealing material 10 for a dovetail groove formed of an elastic material has a cross-sectional shape including a bottom face 11 in contact with a bottom face of a dovetail groove 20 and a projection 12 projecting further upward more than an opening of the dovetail groove 20. A recessed part 13 is formed over from the bottom face 11 to the inside. When located in the dovetail groove 20, both skirts 12b, 12b of the projection 12 are located to the further inner side more than an opening edge in the dovetail groove 20 and one of both side faces is brought into face contact with one of both side faces of the dovetail groove. The sealing material is designed so that a difference in height from the upper end to the lower end of each contact face becomes≥0.5H0with respect to the height H0of the dovetail groove.
