PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling guide device which guides a sliding door to allow the sliding door to travel smoothly and can prevent the sliding door from falling even if the sliding door comes off from a rail and a sill groove, and the sliding door equipped with the traveling guide device. SOLUTION: This traveling guide device A for the sliding door which is built in an upper rail 9 comprises: a base 7 which is mounted and fixed on the upper end surface of a sliding door body B; a rotary plate 1 which can be freely rotated on a supporting point 3 protrusively formed at the base 7; guide rollers 21 and 22 which are rotatably mounted at free ends 11 and 12 of the rotary plate 1; and an elastic spring body 4 which brings the guide rollers 21 and 22 into pressure-contact with an inside surface of the upper rail 9 via the rotary plate 1.
