PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding tool capable of achieving a high-quality welding joint part while preventing electrode wear. SOLUTION: The spot welding tool is used for resistance welding of a workpiece and is provided with at least one electrode (4) and a winding mechanism for winding and rewinding strips (1) for protecting at least one electrode (4). Pressing elements (9) are arranged on the electrodes (4) in the area of electrode caps (5). Each pressing element (9) includes a guide (10) for the strip (1) and is connected with the electrode (4) to be movable in a longitudinal direction.
