PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assessing the presence or absence of colorectal cancer or the likely condition of a person believed to have colorectal cancer.

SOLUTION: The method of assessing the presence or absence of colorectal cancer or the likely condition of a person believed to have colorectal cancer is conducted by analyzing the expression of a group of genes. Gene expression profiles in a variety of medium such as microarrays are included as kits that contain them.
