<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output both images of an image which is prevented from "mixing of colors in a high toner attachment image in normal developing" and an image which is prevented from "deterioration of reproducing property for highlight in normal developing", in an image forming apparatus obtaining a good toner adhesion quantity by using a method of superposing color on an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: At least one developing unit 4 which is after a second color in a printer obtaining a superposed color image by sequentially forming toner images for each color on a photoreceptor is a normal developing means for developing an unexposed section by the toner which is charged to a reverse polarity as the charging polarity of the photoreceptor.
