<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make inconspicuous a change of a view angle due to electronic zoom operation along with operation of an optical system for correcting temperature zoom. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup apparatus 100 has: an optical zooming means 101a; an electronic zooming means 106b; a temperature detecting means 102 for detecting a temperature of the image pickup apparatus; and a control means 108 for operating the electronic zooming means along with operation of the optical zooming means and moving a telephoto end for control in the optical zooming means toward a wide-angle side according to the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means. Along with control to move the telephoto end of the optical zooming means to the wide-angle side, the control means sets a change rate of a zoom magnification in a second zoom region on the side of telephoto end adjacent to the first zoom region smaller than a change rate of a zoom magnification of the electronic zooming means in the first zoom region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
