SUBSTRATE FOR FIXING BELT, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, FIXING BELT, FIXING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverted crown-shaped substrate for belts which has no bad influence on image quality though being low-cost, and a method of manufacturing this substrate for belts.

SOLUTION: With respect to the substrate for fixing belts which is obtained by superposing both ends of a rectangular sheet made of a polyimide or polyimide amide, one over the other and joining them into an endless shape, two faces superposed one over the other of both ends of the rectangular sheet are slopes resulting from processing mutually different faces of the sheet into inclined shapes so that they are thinner toward respective front ends, and a width of the superposition in a center portion of the substrate for fixing belts is wider than that in end portions of the substrate for fixing belts, and the entire substrate for fixing belts is inverted crown-shaped.
