PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "video disc and video reproduction device" which can reproduce and display video content in an appropriate form corresponding to the environment wherein the video reproduction device is used. SOLUTION: A play list for a standard player as well as a play list for an on-vehicle player which is so created as to make a presentation in a form suitable for a presentation on an on-vehicle video reproduction device is recorded in HD DVD 2. Once the on-vehicle video reproduction device 1 starts reproduction of the HD DVD 2, it checks whether the play list for an on-vehicle player is recorded in the HD DVD 2. When the play list for an on-vehicle player is recorded in the HD DVD 2, the on-vehicle video reproduction device 1 selects an initial play list from the recorded play list for an on-vehicle player and starts reproduction control of each presentation object according to the selected initial play list.
