PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolving drive control device and construction machine including it, controlling the braking force according to the work status. SOLUTION: An upper revolving structure of the construction machine is driven to revolve by a revolving motor 21. The revolving drive control device 40 for controlling the drive of the revolving motor 21 includes a drive command generating part 50 and a main control part 60. An allowable value for limiting a torque current command by a torque limiting part 53 of the drive command generating part 50 is determined by the main control part 60. The torque limiting part 53 limits the value of a torque current command input from a PI control part 52 based on the limiting characteristic input from the main control part 60 and an operating direction of a lever 26A. When the value of torque current command input from the PI control part 52 to the torque limiting part 53 is converted to the value of the generated torque, it is set to have a value about 300%. Thus, the value of the torque current command input to the torque limiting part 53 is limited to an allowable value shown in the limiting characteristic of Fig.5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
