PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that sufficient joint strength between a column and a beam cannot be secured because part of a drift pin fails to be mounted on the end face of the beam. SOLUTION: A pin mounting failure preventing member to be used for such a wooden framework structure that a first member formed of a wood and a second member formed of a wood are joined to each other with a connection fitting engaging therebetween is provided for the drift pin which is inserted into a pin hole 5 formed in the second member and a locking hole 18 formed in the connection fitting 8 corresponding thereto. It comprises a shuttle part 2 to be inserted into the pin hole 5, and a base part 3 formed integrally with the shuttle part 2 and located outside the pin hole 5 in the state that the shuttle part 2 is inserted into the pin hole 5.
