PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rib electrode structure for electric discharge machining capable of being easily abutted and fixed with excellent positioning accuracy by solving a positioning fixing defective by accurately positioning a rib electrode for electric discharge machining in a tapered shape. SOLUTION: This electrode structure includes the rib electrode 1 for electric discharge machining to be used in engraving electric discharge machining to machine parts of a molding die and an electrode shank 2 for electric discharge machining fastened to the rib electrode 1. In the electrode structure, a square metal washer 3 for fixing the rib electrode 1 and the electrode shank 2 and a bolt 4 are provided. The rib electrode 1 has a pair of tapered leg parts 1a. The electrode shank 2 has a wall surface 2b having a tapered projecting part 2b2 for receiving the pair of tapered leg parts 1a, an electrode butting surface 2a opposed to a front end of each of the tapered leg parts 1a and a butting surface 2d opposed to a metal washer side face.
