PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube working method and an apparatus therefor, in which, even when using a plurality of kinds of clamps, a tube does not need to be reset in the other clamp, and a driving source for the other clamp does not need to be newly prepared. SOLUTION: A second clamp 20 is moved inwardly in the radial direction of a tube 1 so as to clamp a part of a first to-be-worked part 1a from the outside in the radial direction, by making a second punch 40, which moves in the axial direction of a tube 1, to butt against the second clamp 20, which is provided on a first clamp 10 movably in the radial direction of the tube 1. Thereby, after the first to-be-worked part 1a is formed while clamping the tube 1 with the first clamp 10, a second to-be-worked part 1b is formed without setting the tube 1 in another clamp. In this a case, since the second clamp 20 is driven by the moving force of the second punch 40, a driving source exclusively used for the second clamp 20 does not need to be newly prepared.
