PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable article to be worn around a lower part of the belly part of a wearer, which article can absorb and contain bodily waste from the wearer. SOLUTION: The disposable article to be worn around a lower part of the belly part of a wearer to absorb and contain bodily waste from the wearer is equipped with a reaction system including at least one resilient material 94 maintained under a compressed condition and a trigger mechanism 89 to at least partially expand the resilient material 94 under a compressed condition. The resilient material 94 in the disposable article is placed adjacent to the anus of the wearer, and, when the resilient material 94 is allowed to partially expand, the resilient material 94 catches bodily waste and stores the bodily waste in a condition keeping it at a distance from the skin of the wearer.
