<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide document operation system, device and program which enhance operability of a displayed document by presenting a display format dependent on a processor for operating a document of processing object. <P>SOLUTION: When a multifunction device 100 specifies a confidential box of a document control server 200 in order to obtain a document of processing object in a document operation system, a screen displaying a list of documents to be managed in the confidential box is created based on a UI instruction which is made to correspond with that confidential box.
