<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to check easily the presence/absence of cable connection to connectors on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: A TV receiver is provided with a plurality of connectors such as HDMI connectors or the like. Each connector has a cable detection function to detect whether or not a cable is connected. At the time of selection of an external input, a connector display to express each connector is displayed. A control part, based on the detection result of the presence of cable connection to each connector and furthermore, according to determination result of the presence of connection of an equipment in active state to an HDMI connector, changes the mode of connector display to express each connector.
