<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition for metal working having high non-abrasive characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition for metal working includes at least one epoxy compound represented by the general formula (1) and at least one selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil, an animal or vegetable oil, and a synthetic oil, wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents a substituent group selected from the following Group A, and R<SP>2</SP>represents a substituent group selected from the following Group A or Group B.
