PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with methods for three-dimensionally forming polystyrene foam wherein cutting cannot easily maintain a fixed machining path over a surface in some states of foam and causes filling chips to deteriorate the machined surface, and hot wire and heat cutters are not suitable for fine work even in three-dimensionally controlled machining.
SOLUTION: A three-dimensional laser beam machine has a sink, a door and a cover, and recovers water, alkaline water and carbon dioxide gas, which settle under a bulkhead without leakage. An India ink solution mixed with alkaline water is used as a burning induction/extinction/cooling agent and as a carbon dioxide gas recovery agent, and an odor/smoke removal agent can be sprayed to recover carbon dioxide gas, odor and smoke during machining. The machining covers the production of prototypes and design models of polystyrene foam having three-dimensionally curved shapes, and further stable production of mass-produced finished products, casting molds, multiple cavity molds with runners, cushions and packaging. Unnecessary parts are recovered in a pure condition and recycled to promote environmentally friendly three-dimensionally formed articles.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
