PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup holding device in which thinning of a device can be performed while keeping strength and the cost is suppressed, and to provide a disk device. SOLUTION: The disk device includes: a guide shaft 231B which holds movably a pickup device 240; shaft engaging parts 330A, 330B for guiding the guide shaft 231B in the focus direction; adjusting screws 312A, 312B for adjusting movement in the focus direction of the guide shaft 231B; and a spring wire rod 320 energizing the guide shaft 231B in the direction being separated from a mount part. Also the spring wire rod 320 includes: a shaft holding part 321 fixed to the mount part 210; first and second twisting parts 322A, 322B of longitudinal rod type which is provided centering the shaft so as to be able to vibrate in torsion; and first and second pressing parts 323A, 323B transmitting twisting vibration to the guide shaft 231B.
