PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner that can be fixed at a low fixing temperature, while keeping high durability, and to provide a resin composition for an electrophotographic toner and a method for manufacturing the composition which is contained in the toner. SOLUTION: The present invention discloses the resin composition for an electrophotographic toner and the method for manufacturing the composition, such that the composition contains a resin having a phenolic skeleton and a resin that has a proton-accepting group and contains a resin having a phenolic skeleton by not lower than 10 mass%.
