PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a control method for the bulkiness recovery of a nonwoven fabric that, in recovering the thickness of the nonwoven fabric with its bulkiness reduced by winding, even in the case of the fabric varied in winding pressure, its bulkiness recovery level can be put under control so as to come to a reference thickness set in advance. SOLUTION: The control method for the bulkiness of a nonwoven fabric comprises continuously putting its bulkiness level under control in recovering its bulkiness to a reference thickness set in advance by heat treatment of the nonwoven fabric with reduced bulkiness under conveyance. Specifically, the method comprises the following processes. The thickness of the nonwoven fabric after undergoing heat treatment is detected, and based on the difference between the above thickness and the reference thickness, bulkiness recovering conditions are adjusted, and then making a control so that the thickness of the nonwoven fabric after bulkiness recovery come to the reference thickness.
