PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a magnet attaching method, which generates a specific coating effect by applying the change of magnetic force to a magnetic coating material, excellent in mass-productivity. SOLUTION: The specific coating effect due to magnetic force is caused on a part of coating by applying the magnetic coating material while a sheet like magnet 50 is closely attached to the back surface of a coating member 10A with a tool 20. The tool 20 is composed of a main part 30 having stiffness and an elastic press part 40 comprising an independent foaming sponge material and after the sheet-like magnet 50 is pasted on the surface of the elastic press part 40, the coating member 10A is fixed to the tool 20 and the whole of the sheet-like magnet 50 is closely attached to the back surface of the coating member 10 using the elastic deformation of the elastic press part 40. The tool 20 is repeatedly used and a cleaning liquid is prevented from entering into the elastic press part 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
