PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acute stage cerebral ischemia lesion discovery support apparatus and acute stage cerebral ischemia lesion discovery support program capable of quickly and accurately comprehending a cerebral ischemia region based on CT images. SOLUTION: A CT image acquiring part 111 acquires a cross section image of a head part of a patient. The cross section image of the head part acquired at the CT image acquiring part 111 is transferred to a border setting part 114. The border setting part 114 automatically sets a border of the cross section image in advance and also allows a user to designate a border between right and left hemispheres, which corresponds the border of the cross section image of the head part to that between the right and left hemispheres. The border set at the border setting part 114 is transferred to a comparison image developing part 115. The comparison image developing part 115 develops a difference image for superposed images by reversing the cross section image of the head part by using the border set at the border setting part 114.
