The rail has clamping strips (1) forming a clamping surface (A) provided for clamping of printing plate or die plate. The strips are partitioned into clamping strip segments (S1-S7) sequentially provided in a longitudinal direction. The strips are supported such that alignment of clamping surface segments (AS1-AS7) formed by the clamping strip segments is changed together. The clamping strip segments are coupled together by elastically deformable connection sections, and are respectively supported on an articular surface structure.
