<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a free band by opening a path even when the same high-speed time slot can not be secured for all network elements on a route in a path opening block, regarding an operation system in a communication network and a path opening setting method. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding network elements NE1-NE4 constituting a network, information indicating a use state about whether each of high-speed time slots is used or not used is stored in a high-speed time slot management table and when information requesting path opening is received from an operator, the high-speed time slot management table is retrieved to determine whether or not at least one non-used high-speed time slot exists between network elements on a route of path opening. If it exists, the high-speed time slot is used to set path opening (00035), and cross-connect setting of high-speed time slots is commanded to all the network elements on the route of path opening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
