PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a gap occurring in an ultrasonic image of a second diagnosis mode during the time when an ultrasonic image of a first diagnosis mode is being acquired. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic system includes a transmitting and receiving section operating to form a first reception signal by transmitting and receiving a first ultrasonic beam to acquire an ultrasonic image of a first mode during a first period and to form a second reception signal by transmitting and receiving a second ultrasonic beam to obtain an ultrasonic image of a second diagnosis mode during a second period, a first image processing section operating so as to form an ultrasonic image of the first diagnosis mode on the basis of the first reception signal, and a second image processing section operating so as to form an ultrasonic image of the second diagnosis mode on the basis of the second reception signal, estimate boundary points of a gap section occurring in the ultrasonic image of the second diagnosis mode during the first period by extracting the boundary points from the ultrasonic image of the second diagnosis mode and to fill the gap of the gap section on the basis of the estimated boundary points.
