PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a proper output result even if paper is set in a paper-feeding unit from which special paper is fed, while reducing a downtime resulting from the switching of a paper-feeding unit from which paper is fed. SOLUTION: When it is determined that the amount of recording media remaining in a first paper-feeding means used for the execution of a job has reached a predetermined amount, the paper-feeding means used for the execution of the job is switched from the first paper-feeding means to a second paper-feeding means. Even in this case, if it is determined that the amount of the printing media remaining in the first paper-feeding means has reached a predetermined amount and it is discriminated that the kind of printing media in the first paper-feeding means is predetermined media being a plurality of sheets treated as one set, the paper-feeding means used for the execution of the job is changed after at least one set of the predetermined printing media is ejected.
