PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner including a front opening and closing panel with a structure wherein a surface sink hardly generated on a design surface. SOLUTION: This indoor unit of the wall-mounted air conditioner includes: a main body having a main body front frame and a main body back frame; a front opening and closing panel 1 mounted on the main body front frame in a freely openable and closable manner; an arm 25 provided on a rear surface of the front opening and closing panel 1 and held in a freely rotating manner at the main body front frame; a lug 26 provided on the rear surface of the front opening and closing panel 1 and latched to the main body front frame with the front opening and closing panel 1 being in a closed state; a base, on which the arm 25 or the lug 26 is disposed upright, and which is provided on the rear surface of the front opening and closing panel 1 in a manner spaced apart from the front opening and closing panel; and a thin leg portion connecting the front opening and closing panel 1 with the base.
