PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of image quality when an optical apparatus (onboard camera 11 or the like) is used outdoors by smoothly draining rainwater or the like around an optical member (lens 21 or the like). SOLUTION: This onboard camera 11 comprises the lens 21 held with its surface exposed to the outside air, and a lens barrel 31 for holding the periphery of the lens 21. The lens barrel 31 has a slit 33 extending outward from an inner end for holding the lens 21.
