PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form misalignment constraint portions of metal plates by a simple means by taking an advantage of the permission of the presence of a projecting part of the metal plate from the outer surface in a position corresponding to a cooling water jacket, in a metal laminate cylinder head gasket formed by laminating a plurality of the metal plates. SOLUTION: The metal laminate cylinder head gasket is formed by laminating the plurality of metal plates 1-4, and the misalignment constraint portions 10 for constraining the misalignment of jointing faces of the laminated metal plates 1-4 are provided in a plurality of positions of the laminated metal plates corresponding to the cooling water jacket 8 of a cylinder block. The misalignment constraint portion includes a pair of notches 11, 12 facing each other in corresponding positions of each of the metal plates. Bridging portions 13 formed between the notches are swollen in one direction from the surface of each of the metal plates so as to form a mountain shape.
