PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under-member structure for a vehicle capable of absorbing impact energy by deforming a predetermined deformable portion according to an impact energy amount with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A front first under-member 30 and a rear second under-member 32 are installed at the front lower part of the vehicle 10. The rear end 30B of the first under-member 30 and the front end 32A of the second under-member 32 are tightened and fixed with a bolt 34. A cutout part 36 is formed in the first under-member 30 starting at the bolt 34 toward the front of the vehicle. When a predetermined impact load is applied to the structure, the second under-member 32 is fitted into the second under-member 32, and slidable to the rear side of the vehicle. A weld nut 38 is welded to the inner wall surface of the rear end part 32B of the second under-member 32. A recess 40 which is engaged with the weld nut 38 and which locally buckles the second under-member 32 is formed at the rear end edge of the first under-member 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
