摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine, enabling to introduce high-temperature and high-pressure exhaust gas into an additive injection passage while suppressing the thermal load of an additive injection valve. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine comprises an exhaust gas passage 32 for guiding part of exhaust gas from an exhaust manifold 1a of the engine 1 to the additive injection passage 24b in which the additive injection valve 23 is installed, and a gas introduction control valve 35 provided in the exhaust gas passage 32 for opening/closing the exhaust gas passage 32. In this construction, high-pressure exhaust gas is introduced into the additive injection passage 24b as necessary for the event that deposits may be formed.
