A door lock device for a vehicle. The door lock device has a latch mechanism, an inside lever, an inside open lever, a bushing, a child protector lever, and an intermediate lever. The inside lever can be operated from the vehicle interior side and is supported so as to be pivotable about a support pin mounted to a vehicle door. The intermediate lever has a guide hole through which the support pin is inserted. When pressed by the child protector lever as the child protector lever pivots, the intermediate lever presses the bushing while moving along the guide hole relative to the support pin, thereby moving the position of the bushing between an unset position and a set position.
