<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cranking control device for performing cranking check of an internal combustion engine in a prescribed timing even when a period when only EV traveling is performed is long. <P>SOLUTION: The cranking control device is configured to perform the cranking check of an internal combustion engine loaded on a vehicle which is able to travel with a power from a motor. The cranking control device includes a flag control part which controls the state of a flag indicating whether cranking check is completed; a cranking check condition decision part for determining whether conditions under which a vehicle is traveling at a prescribed vehicle speed or more only with the power of the motor are satisfied when the state of the flag shows that cranking check is not completed; and a cranking check execution part for determining whether it is possible to normally perform cranking by performing cranking while the conditions are satisfied.
