PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that most preferentially makes an earthquake notification. SOLUTION: When emergency earthquake announcement is received (step S210), a master unit calculates information about predictive seismic intensity or a time of arrival of main movement from the received emergency earthquake announcement in step S220 and transmits an earthquake detection notification to a slave unit in step S230. In following step S240, the master unit displays and reports in voice the calculated predictive seismic intensity and the like and inhibits key manipulations or operation for a call receiving notification or the like during the earthquake notification.
