PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment capable of preventing an extraction error of a USB plug for a general purpose having a terminal shape in accordance with the USB specification. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment 10 is equipped with the computer main body covered by a first cabinet, and a display unit covered by a second cabinet 12. A socket 20 or the like capable of inserting and extracting the plug 40 of the USB series A specification is installed at one part of a side face of the first cabinet. An opening part 43 is installed at the cabinet 41 of the plug 40 in advance. An engaging part is arranged and installed in the vicinity of the inner wall face of the socket 20 opposing to the opening part 43. The engaging part is installed at the inner wall face of the socket 20, and has a protruding part capable of protruding from the inner wall face and a retaining part installed at one part of the protruding part. The engaging part can be positioned in a first state that the protruding part is protruded from the inner wall face and engaged with the opening part 43, and in a second state that the protruding part is retreated in a direction sinking in the inner wall face from the first state and released from the engagement.
