PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device for improving operability by preventing the influence of noise generated after a finger is removed from a stick. SOLUTION: A data conversion detection section 8 converts load data output from a strain sensor 4H to speed data, and a speed data count section 9 counts increased/decreased speed data and sends the counted value or coordinate data calculated from the count value to a main device 21. A moving average calculation section 10 calculates a moving average value from count values successively output at predetermined intervals. A noise elimination section 11 regards that operation to a stick type operation section 1 has been canceled and stops outputting coordinate data when the moving average value satisfies preset conditions. Alternatively, the count value is set to 0 and output to the main device 21, thus preventing the influence of noise and improving the operability of the coordinate input device.
