PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aliphatic polyester which can be manufactured at a high rate of melt-polycondensation reaction with less decomposition of an aliphatic diol, is transparent and has good thermal resistance, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: An aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component and the aliphatic diol component, the molar ratio of the latter to the former being 1.10 to 2.00, are subjected to an esterification reaction at a reaction temperature of 215 to 235°C under reaction pressure of 50 to 200 kPa. Then the obtained product esterified to the esterification degree of not less than 80% is subjected to the melt-polycondensation reaction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
