PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the decline of holding force of a cursor in a height meter. SOLUTION: The cursor 18 is provided with a base part 40 to which a shaft body 44 is fixed and an end part 42, and a cursor holding member 16 has a box-shaped part 24 provided with an upper surface 26 and a side face 30a and a side face 30b each provided with a shaft hole 32. At a measuring position, the cursor holding member 16 is fitted to the base part 40 of the cursor 18, the inner surface of the base part 40 is pressed to the upper surface 26 of the cursor holding member 16 by energizing from an elastic body 54, and thus the posture of the cursor 18 is held.
