PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair storing device for automobile, wherein a driver can operate the device by him alone with small manual labor and not soiling his clothes by the operation; after storing a wheelchair, the assistant driver's seat reclining is possible, passengers can get on or off the rear seat from the walkway side; installing a wheelchair storing device in a car is also simple. SOLUTION: This wheelchair storing device includes an I arm 1 rotated by a motor around one 1a of its ends as a fulcrum, an L arm 2 connected with the I arm so that it can rotate relative to and following the rotation of I arm in the tip end 1b opposite the fulcrum of the I arm, with the L arm's rotation direction controlled by one end 2a fitted in and moving along a guide groove 3, a crane head 6 provided in the vicinity of the end 2b of the L arm opposite to its other end fitted in its guide groove, a belt 10 hanging down from the crane head to move up and down the wheelchair, and a flapper 4 installed on the crane head to hold the wheelchair.
