<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reed of an air jet loom having excellent effect for suppressing the generation of fluffs. <P>SOLUTION: A modified reed 13 has a reed dent 19 and a reed dent 19A. The reed dent 19A is placed at a position superposed with a weft-insertion assistant nozzle 14 viewed from the beating direction perpendicular to the direction of a weft guiding channel 131. An adjacent channel expanding part 21 is integrally formed at the rear end 190 of the reed dent 19A. The adjacent channel expanding part 21 has a wedge part 22 increasing its thickness from the front end (rear end 190 of the nozzle-corresponding reed dent 19A) toward the back side and a flat thickening part 23 connected to the wedge part 22.
