<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traction device for installing a drop optical fiber, an implement which is simply structured and small and which facilitates assembly of a traction device at a cable installation site and disassembly after the completion of installing operation. <P>SOLUTION: The traction device is provided for pulling a drop optical fiber by attaching it to the tip end thereof in the installation of the drop optical fiber, which is connected to an core wire of an optical cable with a connector in a closure provided in an aerial optical cable. The optical connector for the connection is preliminarily attached to the tip end of the drop optical fiber and then, the tip end of the drop optical fiber including this optical connector is housed inside a tubular body with a traction hook. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
