PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor equipped with an eccentricity permissible structure, which suppresses an increase in cost and weight. SOLUTION: The electric motor is provided with: a rotor 3 provided with a rotating shaft 2; a stator 4 disposed to oppose the rotor in a shaft direction; and a case 5 having the rotor and the stator incorporated therein and fixing a stator on the inner surface thereof. A free bearing 7 for permitting the eccentricity of the rotor in a direction perpendicular to the center line of the stator is provided between the inner surface of the case and the rotor.
