PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular enameled electric wire in which a coating thickness of an insulative coating layer is made uniform, to provide a conductor wire used for manufacturing the rectangular enameled electric wire, and to provide a manufacturing method of the rectangular enameled electric wire. SOLUTION: The rectangular enameled electric wire composed of the conductor wire and the insulative layer enclosing the conductor wire is made to have a cross section of the conductor wire in a rounded edge rectangular shape, and, when a widthwise length is denoted by W, a longitudinal length is denoted by H and a curvature radius of the rounded edge portions is denoted by R, a value of [W/H], that is a value obtained by dividing W by H, is 1 to 4 and a value of R is 1/7 to 4/3 (0.143 to 1.33) times value of H.
