PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein it is very difficult to arrange a color filter at a method for laser-repairing an organic EL panel stored in a sealed case via a sealing plate arranged in the case, there is a limit on a method for obtaining an organic EL panel capable of coping with the color filter, splashes are laminated on an upper electrode when performing laser-repairing while the upper electrode is formed, and the structure of the upper electrode become uneven on the basis of influence of the splashes, which causes deterioration of display performance of the organic EL panel. SOLUTION: Laser-repairing of an organic EL element 17A including a defect section 105 arranged on the organic EL panel is carried out via a sealing layer 131. A quality item rate can be improved since the organic EL element including defects (for example, whisker) caused by stress generated at a formation process of the sealing layer 131 can be repaired. Further, generation of electrical secondary defects can be avoided so that the splashes 104 involved in the laser-repairing are stuck on the sealing layer 131 with insulation.
