PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor diagnostic method for checking normal operation of each sensor without providing a self-diagnostic function to each of the sensor. SOLUTION: A sensor diagnostic device for diagnosing each sensor in a system for centralizing identification information obtained by each of a plurality of sensors for identifying an object in a center device includes: a moving object counting means for counting, in accordance with the identification information of a plurality of sensors in a predefined time period, the number of moving objects between each sensor and its neighboring sensor; a reference value storage means for storing a reference value preset between each sensor and its neighboring sensor; and a comparison/determination means for comparing the value based on the number of the moving objects counted between each sensor and its neighboring sensor with a reference value between each sensor and its neighboring sensor read from the reference value storage means, and for, when a difference between the value based on the number of the moving objects and the reference value exceeds a threshold, determining the sensor which has counted the number of the moving objects, to be in trouble.
